In 2014, Andrew Landry won his first pro tournament in Houston TX at the Bay Oaks Open. Andrew can now say he is a PGA Tour winner. Congratulations to Andrew – See you at the Masters next April!

Through April, the PGA Tour has had seven first-time winners. Three (3) have been former APT members – Andrew Landry, Brice Garnett, and Austin Cook.


Recent winners of the Tour began their careers on the APT.  Julian Etulain finished second to Brice Garnett at the 2010 Merrill Lynch Open on the APT, now he is a winner on the Tour in Lafayette.

The latest winner who played the APT, Eric Axley. The lefty from Athens Tenn began on the APT (then the Tight Lies Tour) in 2002 before moving up to the and PGA Tours. He has won now at every level and working his way back to the PGA Tour at the age of 44.


Austin Smotherman, a 2016 member of the APT, is following in the footsteps of Jose Toledo and Sam Fidone. All started their careers on the APT. Like Toledo and Fidone, Smotherman can now call himself a champion on the PGA Latin America!
