Bella Vista, AR – The 7th stop on the 2019 All Pro Tour schedule takes the players to Bella Vista Village Country Club to compete in the second Cooper Communities NW Arkansas Charity Classic from June 12-15.
“This is a caring community that lives for golf,” said Director of Golf Darryl Muldoon. “Our community and the volunteers make the event what it is. Over the past two years we’ve been overwhelmed with volunteers and their passion for the community and the game of golf, which makes a great experience for the pros.”
Greeting the APT field in Bella Vista, AR is an estimated purse of $125,000. Individuals will compete in a 72-holes stroke play format with a cut after 36 holes to the top 35 percent of the starting field, including ties. The winners share of the pie will be a minimum of $20,000 guaranteed.
“The members are excited for the All Pro Tour to come as they mark off their calendars,” Muldoon said. “We have over 470 volunteers signed up to work the tournament throughout the week as they are excited to be a part of it. We have over 118 golf groups throughout the area who will come out to watch the pros play.”
Defending Champion Brandon McIver (Billings, Montana) is among the competitors. He won the event in 2018 when the Cooper Communities NWA Charity Classic was played on the Highlands course, this year’s tournament will be at Bella Vista Village Country Club. Also, in this year’s field is current money leader Logan McCracken (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) who finished 3rd in the Arkansas event last year.
“We have built a new iconic building that overlooks the golf course better,” Muldoon said. “It is more spectator friendly and we expect the pros to shoot some low scores compared to previous years.”
Over 100 professional men from all over the world are expected to play in the Cooper Communities NW Arkansas Charity Classic. There will be a full slate of activities throughout the week including clinics, parties, and a pro-am tournament on Tuesday, June 11th. Attendance is free to the public.
