Dallas, TX – The All Pro Tour (APT) will start its fall series schedule in Newton, Kansas for the Sand Creek Championship. The APT will bring an estimated 130 of the best PGA hopefuls to Sand Creek Station September 15th – 17th to compete in a 54 hole, three day tournament.

“Sand Creek Station is a special place,” says APT Commissioner, Gary DeSerrano. “Last year was such a disappointment when Mother Nature rained us out. We are very excited to bring the best PGA hopefuls back to Newton this September. It should be a great time of year for a tournament!”

The Sand Creek Championship falls just one week prior to the Korn Ferry Tour’s Monday Qualifier at Sand Creek Station. “It’s a win-win,” says Sand Creek Station General Manager, Chris Tuohey. “Players will have the opportunity to compete at a great golf course and with a great organization. I suspect a strong field given Sand Creek Station will host the Wichita Open’s Qualifier the following Monday. It gives the players a strong sense of what score will ‘Monday their way’ into the Wichita Open.”

“We are so excited to welcome the APT to Newton,” City Manager, Kelly McElroy said.  “We’re grateful for the opportunity to host professional events like this that showcase our fantastic community and golf course, and I’m confident that Sand Creek Station will provide an unforgettable experience for the players.”

The first leg of the All Pro Tour’s fall series will be rounded out September 22nd – 24th with a trip to Manhattan, Kansas for the Colbert Charity Classic.
