Fall Series Policies
Tournament Fields: Fall Series fields will be limited 78 based on the daylight available. ALL tournament entries are on a first paid basis.
Tournament Format: Tournaments will consist of 54-holes of stroke play with a cut after 36 holes. The cuts will be to the top 30% and ties, of the starting field. All tournaments are riding ONLY. Cart fees are included in entry fees for tournament rounds. Players are encouraged to have cart covers and heaters for inclement weather days. Should a player have a caddy, the bag must be on the cart. There will only be two carts allowed per group. Should a player have a caddy or family member with them, they will have to walk.
*90 RULE: Any player shooting 90 or higher during the first round will be cut from the field.
Purses: Purses are made up of entry fees collected from pros and amateurs (or 80% of member entry fees). All professional players making the cut will receive a check. All first-place checks will be a guaranteed minimum of $10.000.
NOTE: At each fall tournament, the host facilities are provided two (2) course exemptions. These exemptions are specific to the host professionals and/or club champion. Tour players are NOT eligible to obtain these spots. The exemptions are free to each host facility and are not counted in purse calculations.
Amateurs: Amateur players are welcome to play in APT events. However, professionals have priority in tournament entry and amateurs are ineligible to win any prize money.
Purse Distribution: All purse payments will be directly deposited in the player’s bank account as provided on the registration form. If this information was not filled out during registration, the player can fill out a Direct Deposit Authorization form and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Unfortunately, Direct Deposit is not available for our foreign players without US Social Security numbers, and they must provide a current mailing address for their purse payment checks.
Tournament Entry Procedure: To enter a tournament, all players must register online using a credit card or debit card. To enter a tournament, go to the “Schedule” page and click the Register button for the event you are interested in playing. No payments will be accepted over the phone or at tournament sites. Note: Entry fees will be processed 2 weeks before the first round of a tournament. This way players may pre-register without being charged the full amount of the tournaments entered.
Tournament Deadlines: Tournament Entry Deadline – This deadline is 2 weeks before the first round of each tournament. After this deadline date, all player entry fees will increase by $100. No entries will be accepted after 10:00 AM CST two days before the first round of each tournament.
Waiting List Procedure: When a tournament becomes FULL a waiting list will be established. If you are placed on the WL, you will receive an email telling you so. Entries are dated and placed on the waiting list in the order in which they are received. If a spot opens in the tournament, we will call the players on the waiting list in order until the tournament spot is filled.
Payment Policy: We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express; as well as debit cards through online registration. Please note that debit cards with daily limits less than total entry fees will not be accepted. Entry fees will be processed 2 weeks before the first round of a tournament. This way players may pre-register without being charged the full amount of the tournaments entered.
Tee Times: 1st round pairings will be made available by 12:00 PM CST the day before the first round of each tournament. Pairings will be texted to players’ cell phones and available online at the tournament’s information page. Players will be repaired based on the score for each remaining tournament round.
Practice Rounds: Official practice round days are on the day before each tournament’s first-round OR the day before the pro-am should one take place. Players must call the host course to arrange a practice round tee time(s) and are responsible for paying for their practice round. Courses may charge up to $30 for a practice round. Range balls will be included with this fee. Range balls will also be available free to players prior to each tournament round.
Player Attire: Players are expected to dress and present themselves in a professional manner and reflect a positive image to the public (e.g. fans, sponsors, club officials, charities, junior golfers, etc.) when participating in APT events. Player clothing and shoes shall always be clean and neat. The length of shorts should be in good taste and portray a professional image.
Messages: Tee times and general notices are distributed by text. The cell number you provided on your registration form will be the number used for messages.
Withdrawals and No Shows: To withdraw from a tournament, call the Tour Office at 817-567-3654. Players will be assessed a $25 fee for all refund requests.
Withdrawals will be accepted for any reason when notice is given by 5:00 PM, 1 week before the first round. There are no fees for transferring entries to another event before the deadline.
For withdrawals or no-shows after this deadline, the player will waive his entry fee to the tournament. However, medical and personal withdrawals after the deadline will be evaluated on a case by case instance.
No refund or credit will be given for any reason once a player has teed off.
Rainouts or Extreme Conditions: All decisions for tournaments affected by rain or extreme conditions will be made on a case-by-case basis by the tour officials and the host professional. Any weather-shortened tournament is official after 18 or 36 holes, with tour officials making every effort to complete as many rounds as possible. No partial rounds will count.
NOTE: Dependent upon weather conditions and forecasts, the APT staff reserves the right to inform players that they must start and/or complete more than one stipulated round each day.
