If I am a member of the Korn Ferry, Canadian Tour, PGALA, PGA China or Euro Challenge Tour, do I get a discount on my Membership?
Yes. Conditional members of the Korn Ferry Tour and FULL members of the Mackenzie Tour, PGA Latin America and Euro Challenge Tour may join the APT for $850 per year. If you have already joined as a full APT member and your qualify at a later date, we will credit you the difference. Note: You are required to have documentation of your membership and status from the Tour.
Who is eligible to play in an APT event?
All professionals and amateurs with a USGA handicap of 2.0 or less may play on a space available basis.
Where do I get my member packet?
When are tee times posted?
The 1st & 2nd round tee times will be posted by 5:00pm two days prior to the start of each event. Pairings will be posted in the golf shop, by the Tour trailer and online at www.apt.golf; at each tournament’s information page.
Do I have to pay for a practice round and range balls?
Most practice rounds are FREE to all players that want to walk. A fee will apply to those players that want to rent a golf cart – fee usually around $15-25. Range balls a free all week.
Are yardage books available at each site?
Yes. A limited number of books are available each week. They are sold in the APT trailer on Monday and Tuesday for $20.
Note: Yardage Books produced prior to 2019 for APT events are now NON-Conforming according to the new USGA Green Book rules.
How many players make the CUT?
For the 2020 regular season, the top 35% of the starting field and ties after 36 holes will make the CUT with a maximum of 50 and ties. For two course events and fields over 168, the CUT is a maximum of 60 and ties.
How will I receive my earnings from a tournament?
Unless you are a Foreign Player, ALL earnings are distributed by Direct Deposit approximately 5 business days after the final round. Checks will only be mailed to Foreign players without US Tax ID numbers. Note: If a players banking information changes during the year, it is YOUR responsibility to contact the Tour office to update your Direct Deposit information.
How do I withdraw from a tournament?
Withdrawals will be accepted for any reason when notice is given by 5:00 PM on the Friday before the tournament week. Players can transfer their entry fee to a future tournament at no additional cost, or get a refund back to their credit card. There will be a $50 administrative fee for all refunds back to credit card. Players MUST call the tour office at 817-567-3654 to withdraw.
For withdrawals after this Friday deadline, the player will forfeit his entry fee to this tournament. Medical and personal withdraws after this Friday deadline will be evaluated case-by-case, and if accepted, there will be a $100 administrative fee.
No refund or credit will be offered once a player has teed off during tournament play. No Shows will NOT receive a refund or credit.
If I qualify or gain entry into a PGA / Korn Ferry Tour event will my entry fee be refunded?
Am I allowed to wear shorts while playing in an event?
Proper golf attire is required. Slacks are preferred during pro-ams and tournaments, but shorts are allowed. Shirts are to be tucked in and hats worn forward. No jeans!
Are range finders allowed during tournament play?

Will I have to provide my own caddy?
Caddies are encouraged, but not required. APT tournaments do not arrange for caddies. The player may carry your own bag or use a push cart. All caddies must wear Caddy Bibs during tournament play.
Are pull / push carts allowed?
Yes, players or caddies may use pull/push carts.
Will private housing be available?
Private housing will be available at some events, but is not guaranteed. Private housing will only be available to Tour Members, and you must be in the tournament field before you request private housing. Information regarding private housing can be found on each tournament’s info page.
Is there a host hotel provided at each event?
