Charities benefit from recent All Pro Tour golf tournament

Eight area nonprofit organizations have received their share of $54,105.48 raised from the Real Okie Championship All Pro Tour Golf Tournament.

Checks were distributed Wednesday at Muskogee Golf Club, which hosted the APT tournament last July. Beneficiaries were Kelly B. Todd Cerebral Palsy and Neuro-Muscular Center, Neighbors Building Neighborhoods, Green Country Behavioral Health, Lake Area United Way, Fostering Hope, Kids’ Space, CASA of Muskogee and the Health and Wellness Center Foundation.

“It feels so good writing the checks,” APT Event Coordinator Martha Dixon said. “It’s a great partnership between the nonprofit organizations and the Muskogee Golf Club.”

Health and Wellness Center Marketing Coordinator Connie Olcott said the APT funding comes at a crucial time.
