Intense Competition Marks the Conclusion of Round 1 at The Territory Classic

(Duncan, OK) - Round 1 of The Territory Classic has come to an exciting close. Tee times began bright and early this morning at 7:15 a.m., kicking off a scorching hot day on the course. The day started with Andrew Beckler taking an early lead, sitting at 4-under par through the front nine. However, Brett White quickly matched Beckler's strong performance, shooting 5-under par through the same stretch.

The two players went back and forth all day, maintaining a thrilling duel at the top of the leaderboard. Their battle was joined by Carson Griggs, who made a spectacular move by eagling the 7th hole and birdying the 9th to tie for the lead. As the first round concluded, Beckler, White, and Griggs all found themselves tied for first place heading into tomorrow's second round. Notably, Andrew Beckler also managed to keep a bogey-free round, underscoring his consistent play.

In addition to the main event, we hosted the Texas State Open Pre-Qualifier today, featuring 27 competitors vying for just five qualifying spots. The top five who earned their places are Rob Hudson (-6), Derek Oland (-6), Jansen Smith (-4), Magnus Lomholt (-4), and Dawson Jones (-4).

The second round will begin at 7:15 AM CT with players looking to get inside the cut line. Players will flip waves and start holes.
