(Brownwood, TX) - The second round of the Birdies on the Bayou tournament has concluded, marked by contrasting weather conditions that challenged players throughout the day. As the morning wave enjoyed perfect weather conditions, the afternoon wave faced the brunt of scorching heat and gusty winds.

In a display of skill and determination, Sam Murphy from Rutson, Louisiana surged to the top of the leaderboard during the morning wave. With a stellar round of 6 under par, Murphy finished the day at an impressive 13 under par total, setting the bar high for his competitors.

However, the afternoon wave saw another contender rise to the challenge. Jeff Burton, hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona, made a remarkable ascent up the leaderboard.
