Round 1 Recap: Southwest Kansas Pro-Am Sees a Windy Start

(Garden City, KS) - Round 1 of the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am has come to a close after a long, windy day of golf at Southwind Golf & Dining and Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The players faced relentless winds that made the already challenging courses even tougher. Tee-off began at 11:00 am, and the golfers battled the elements throughout their rounds.

Today’s competition was fierce, and as the dust settled, we ended up with a remarkable six-way tie for first place. Andrew Beckler, Samuel Storey, Corey Matthey, Garrison Smith, Zach James, and Alexander Herrmann all finished the day at 2-under par, showcasing their resilience and skill despite the difficult conditions.

Tomorrow, the players will switch courses, giving everyone a new set of challenges to face. The round will again start at 11:00 am, and with such a tight leaderboard, the competition is sure to be intense as the players continue their pursuit of the title.

The second round will begin at 11:00 AM CT with players looking to get inside the cut line. Players will flip courses and start holes.
