Sewell Claims Second Professional Win at RGAC Fall Classic

ROUND 3 RECAP

(Rockwall, TX) The final round of the RGAC Fall Classic has concluded and a new champion has been named. Chad Sewell (Conroe, TX) carded three solid rounds, allowing him to take home the hardware at the final tournament of the 2023 season. Sewell finished his final round with a 3-under par 69 to claim his second professional win.

After turning in a 10-under 62 for the first round of the RGAC Fall classic, the Conroe native continued to show his dominance following up with scores of 68 and 69. Sewell had a solid start during his final 18, with a bogey-free 2-under 34 for his front nine. He finished the back nine with a 1-under 35, putting him at 17-under for the tournament.

“This was probably a little tougher just because I had a five shot lead coming in and I didn’t really know how to go about that and Sean (Walsh) made it really tough today,” said Sewell. “Everytime I did something good, he would do something better.”

Walsh (Euless, TX) and Erik Barnes (Parrish, FL) finished T-2 at 13-under for the tournament. Walsh finished with a 4-under 68 during the final round, while Barnes finished with a 5-under 67.
