2019-20 APT Winter Series Overview

For the 15th year, the APT will conduct a Winter Series throughout the Houston area. The series will consist of twelve (12) 36-hole events, played Monday – Tuesday and Thursday – Friday. Each Series will have three (3) tournaments allowing players that travel to the Houston area, to play in 3 events over 9 days.

There are no cuts* during the Winter Series, with the top 30% of the starting field receiving a check. The Winter Series will pay a guaranteed minimum of $3,000 to each winner!  *Note that players shooting 90 or more during the 1st round will be cut from the field.

The 2019-20 Winter Series open October 14th/15th at the Riverbend Classic and will conclude January 13th/14th at the Walden Winter Open. Membership for the Winter Series is $450. Tournament entry fees for members will be $575, non-members $725 and amateurs $350.

The Winter Series is a great way to tune-up for the PGA’s qualifying school or simply keep the game sharp during the winter months. Keep in mind this is an off-season program. So it’s a bit different than our summer events. All players will ride, we will use the courses range balls and players must pay for practice rounds. While we will have a host hotel per Series, there is no private housing for the Winter Series.

  • The highest-ranked WS member on WS Money List will receive an exemption into 2020 Texas State Open.

This year the NTPGA Players Tour will feature seven (7) tournaments throughout the month of January and February 2020. The events are held at premier facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The NTPGA schedule can be seen here.
