Firewheel Classic: Second Round Concludes with Dramatic Shifts

(Garland, TX) - The second round of the Firewheel Classic reached its climactic conclusion today, witnessing a whirlwind of weather conditions and a reshuffling of the leaderboard.

The morning wave was greeted with warm and cloudy skies, providing an ideal setting for the early starters to make their mark. However, as the day progressed, the weather took a turn, with the afternoon wave facing gusty winds, a light drizzle, and oppressive humidity.

Among the standout performances of the day, James Ross of Scotland delivered a remarkable display of skill, shooting an impressive 5-under par. Ross's stellar performance propelled him up a staggering 17 spots, finishing the day at a formidable T3 position.

Adding to the excitement, Brett White, hailing from Houston, Texas, mirrored Ross's score with an equally impressive 5-under par. White's outstanding round catapulted him an astounding 23 spots up the leaderboard, concluding the day at a noteworthy T6.

However, amidst the shifting tides, Will Cannon remains a force to be reckoned with, maintaining his lead at an impressive 12-under par total. His steady performance keeps him at the forefront of the competition, with John Sand trailing closely behind at 11-under par total, poised to challenge Cannon's stronghold on the leaderboard.
